This crate mattress features a built‑in pillow section at one end, giving a dog a slightly raised surface on which to rest its head. The cover may be removable via a side zipper, depending on the model; if not, the whole mattress can often be washed as a unit.
Structure and features: The mattress is rectangular with one short end built up into a pillow. The soft surface is uniform. The seams are double‑stitched to hold the pillow shape. It provides more cushioning than a standard mat and can help insulate the dog from a cold crate floor.
Care and maintenance: If the cover is removable, unzip and machine wash it in cool water, then air‑dry. If the mattress is single‑piece, spot‑clean or hand‑wash as needed and dry completely before returning it to the crate. Do not use bleach. A vacuum with a brush attachment removes fur between washes.
